To register in New Jersey, you must be:

  • A United States citizen

  • At least 17 years old, though you may not vote until you have reached the age of 18

  • A resident of the county for 30 days before the election

  • A person NOT currently serving a sentence, probation or parole because of a felony conviction

Paper Voter Registration Form

The registrant using a Paper Voter Registration form must complete a Voter Registration Application. Mail or deliver the Voter Registration Application to the County Commissioner of Registration or Superintendent of Elections in Jersey City located at 257 Cornelison Avenue, 4th Floor, Jersey City, NJ 07302 by Tuesday, October 18, 2022 to vote in the General Election on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.

There are three options for Voting in the November General Election:

1) Vote By Mail. You Can Vote from Your Home by Requesting a Vote By Mail Application prior to the election. Get A Vote By Mail Application by clicking here.

 

2) Early in Person Voting. You can vote in an Early Voting Location. From Saturday, October 29, 2022 through the following Sunday, November 6, 2022. A total of 8 days of Early Voting. The Early Voting polls are open Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. No Appointment is Necessary.

The closest Early Voting Location to Harrison is in the Town Hall of Kearny. There are also other locations throughout Hudson County.

The In-Person Voting uses the newest Voting Machines Hudson County has. The Voting machines have a touch screen with the ballot displayed and pressing the box for Anselmo Millan on the far right of the ballot will turn it Green indicating you will be voting for Anselmo. You then need to cast your vote by Pressing the box on the touch screen that says Cast Vote. Click here for more detailed information on Early Voting.

3) Vote on Election Day, Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at your Polling Location between 6 am and 8 pm. Please note that anyone that inside the respective Voting Location must be allowed to Vote even if the actual Voting is after 8 pm. It is the entry before 8 p.m. to the polling location that counts.
